Ein neuer Künstler zieht in unseren Streichelzoo und das Biotop verwandelt sich wieder in etwas vollkommen Anderes. Malerei quillt aus alllen Ecken und Kanten, Farbe tropft von den Wänden und fließt genüsslich auf den Brühl hinaus. Der Hallenser Künstler Philipp Eichhorn ist da. Sein vielfältiges Arbeitsspektrum besteht aus Graffiti, Zeichnung, Malerei und Kunst am Bau.
Dazu ein paar Worte von ihm selbst: Den Malereien von Philipp Eichhorn liegen zumeist Beobachtungen zugrunde, welche er in seinem Umfeld macht. Es sind vor allem alltägliche Situationen am Rande der Gesellschaft. Sein Antrieb ist es, diese Themen in den Fokus zu rücken. Den Betrachter zwingt das hinzuschauen. Oft ist die Szene abstrahiert und farblich überhöht, so dass erst ein poppiger, fröhlicher Eindruck entsteht, die eigentliche schwere und Tragweite des Themas folgt erst bei näherer Betrachtung.

A new artist moves into our petting zoo and the biotope is transformed into something completely different again. Paintings spill out of every corner and edge, color drips from the walls and flows out onto the Brühl with pleasure. The artist Philipp Eichhorn from Halle is here. His diverse range of work consists of graffiti, drawing, painting and art on buildings.
A few words from the artist himself: Philipp Eichhorn's paintings are mostly based on observations he makes in his surroundings. They are mainly everyday situations on the margins of society. His motivation is to bring these themes into focus. This forces the viewer to look. The scene is often abstracted and exaggerated in color, so that at first a trendy, cheerful impression is created; the actual gravity and scope of the theme only emerges on closer inspection.
